The Young Professional Programme (YPP)

The call for applications for the Young Professionals Programme is now open to candidates from Member States who are non- and under-represented at the Secretariat of UNESCO as of November 2010.

The Young Professional Programme is geared specifically for candidates from unrepresented or under-represented countries in the UNESCO Secretariat. The eligibility of a Member State is determined at the date of the call for applications.

This programme provides ten recent college graduates and young professionals under the age of 30 with the opportunity to start a career in an international organization. The YP will have the opportunity to work for one year at the Secretariat in Paris or one of the offices and learn about their functioning.

UNESCO informs the National Commissions and Permanent Delegations of Members States that are eligible to participate in this Programme.

Interested candidates should contact their National Commissions or Permanent Delegations for more details.

Candidates send their applications to the National Commission/Permanent Delegation of their country of citizenship. UNESCO does not accept applications sent directly to the Organization.
