Uni­w­er­sytet Medy­czny w Łodzi ubie­ga się o przyz­nanie logo „HR Excel­lence in Research”, które stanowi prestiżowe wyróżnie­nie przyz­nawane przez Komisję Europe­jską dla tych insty­tucji sfery B+R, które wdrożą zasady Europe­jskiej Kar­ty Naukow­ca i Kodek­su Postępowa­nia przy rekru­tacji pra­cown­ików naukowych do swoich wewnętrznych reg­u­lacji, w wyniku których twor­zone jest przy­jazne środowisko pra­cy naukowej i trans­par­entne zasady rekru­tacji pra­cown­ików naukowych.

Komis­ja Europe­js­ka przyz­na­je wyróżnienia w ramach real­iza­cji strate­gii Human Resources Strat­e­gy for Researchers, nakierowanej na zwięk­szanie atrak­cyjnoś­ci warunk­ów pra­cy naukow­ców w UE. Dzi­ała­nia te mają przy­czynić się do zwięk­sza­nia licz­by pra­cown­ików naukowych insty­tucji europe­js­kich. KE wspiera insty­tuc­je wdraża­jące zasady Europe­jskiej Kar­ty i Kodek­su orga­nizu­jąc spotka­nia i dyskus­je z ich udzi­ałem oraz pro­mu­jąc je wśród między­nar­o­dowych orga­ni­za­cji i naukow­ców jako te, które zapew­ni­a­ją naukow­com najlep­sze warun­ki pra­cy i roz­wo­ju.

Należy pod­kreślić, iż logo HR Excel­lence in Research stanowi zobow­iązanie insty­tucji do wdroże­nia zasad Europe­jskiej Kar­ty Naukow­ca i Kodek­su, wyrażone w anal­izie potrzeb (Inter­nal Gap Analy­sis) oraz planie dzi­ałań napraw­czych (Action Plan), które insty­tuc­ja przed­staw­ia we wniosku. Dlat­ego też Komis­ja Europe­js­ka co dwa lata kon­trolu­je postępy w real­iza­cji zaplanowanych dzi­ałań, zaś w przy­pad­ku stwierdzenia uchy­bień pra­wo do uży­wa­nia znaku może zostać cofnięte.

Uczel­ni­any Zespół ds. HR Excel­lence in Research, w którego skład wchodzą Prof. dr hab. n. med. Lucy­na Woź­ni­ak — Prorek­tor ds. Nau­ki i Współpra­cy Zagranicznej, Agniesz­ka Komorows­ka-Michałek — Dyrek­tor Biu­ra Kadr,  Ane­ta Andrze­jczyk Z‑ca Dyrek­to­ra Biu­ra Nau­ki, Strate­gii i Roz­wo­ju, oraz dr Izabela Żakows­ka przeprowadz­ił wewnętrzną anal­izę na pod­staw­ie wypełnionych przez Państ­wa anki­et, w wyniku której pow­stała Uczel­ni­ana Strate­gia Human Resources Strat­e­gy for Researchers.

Med­ical Uni­ver­si­ty of Lodz is apply­ing for the “HR Excel­lence in Research” Logo — a pres­ti­gious award grant­ed to the R & D insti­tu­tions and orga­ni­za­tions financ­ing research who imple­ment the prin­ci­ples of the Euro­pean Char­ter for Researchers and the Code of Con­duct for the Recruit­ment of Researchers into their inter­nal reg­u­la­tions,  cre­at­ing pleas­ant work­ing envi­ron­ment  and trans­par­ent rules of researcher recruit­ment.

The Euro­pean Com­mis­sion awards this dis­tinc­tion as part of imple­ment­ing the Human Resources Strat­e­gy for Researchers, aimed at increas­ing the attrac­tive­ness of researchers’ work­ing con­di­tions in the EU. These activ­i­ties are expect­ed to con­tribute to increas­ing the num­ber of aca­d­e­m­ic staff of the Euro­pean insti­tu­tions. The EC sup­ports the insti­tu­tions imple­ment­ing the prin­ci­ples of the Euro­pean Char­ter and Code by orga­niz­ing meet­ings and dis­cus­sions with their par­tic­i­pa­tion and pro­mot­ing them among inter­na­tion­al orga­ni­za­tions and sci­en­tists as those that pro­vide the best con­di­tions of work and devel­op­ment for researchers.It should be empha­sized that the HR Excel­lence in Research logo is an oblig­a­tion of the appli­cant insti­tu­tion to imple­ment the prin­ci­ples of the Euro­pean Char­ter for Researchers and the Code expressed in the cor­rec­tive Action Plan, which the insti­tu­tion presents in the appli­ca­tion. For this rea­son, the Euro­pean Com­mis­sion mon­i­tors the progress in the imple­men­ta­tion of planned activ­i­ties every two years. If irreg­u­lar­i­ties are found, the right to use the dis­tinc­tion may be revoked.

The Com­mit­tee for HR Excel­lence in Research at MUL con­duct­ed inter­nal gap analy­sis based on the sur­veys filled in by MUL employ­ees and, in con­se­quence, devel­oped the Human Resources Strat­e­gy for Researchers of the Med­ical Uni­ver­si­ty of Lodz.
